S 500 & S 600 Canister Vacuums

Repair

3.1

Suction Power Is Too Low

Cause:

Bag jammed between the casing top and the cover frame.

Remedy:

Replace the bag. See Section 010-4.6.

Note:

Do not open out the bag. Install it as it is when removed from its packaging.

Cause:

Floor attachment or suction hose blocked.

Remedy:

Clean the floor attachment or suction hose.

Cause:

Filter clogged.

Remedy:

Replace all filters. See Sections 010-4.7 through 010-4.10.

Cause:

Seal or sealing ring not seated correctly.

Remedy:

Check for correct seating. Reseat elbow or replace locking tabs as necessary.

3.2

Elbow Not Seated Correctly in the Suction Opening

Cause:

The hygienic slide shutter slides in front of the suction opening.

Remedy:

Reseat elbow or replace locking tabs as necessary. Replace the slide shutter.
See Section 020-4.9.

Elbow Blocked

Cause:

The hygienic slide shutter slides in front of the suction opening.

Remedy:

Replace the slide shutter. See Section 020-4.9.
