Taking the effect on the environment
into consideration, please bear the fol-
lowing points in mind when selecting a
cleaning agent:
^
What level of alkalinity is required to
achieve the correct level of cleaning?
^
Is active chlorine required for disin-
fection or oxydation (pigment re-
moval)?
^
Are tensides required, in particular
for dispersal and emulsification?
^
A suitable mild alkaline detergent,
which does not contain active chlo-
rine, should be used for thermal dis-
infection programmes.
Some types of soiling may require dif-
ferent combinations of cleaning agents
and other additives. The Miele Profes-
sional Department will be pleased to
advise you.
Note
As a chargeable optional extra this ma-
chine can also be fitted with a dis-
penser pump for liquid cleaning agent
(DOS-Module G 60). This is connected
externally.
See "Programming special functions"
for venting the dispensing system and
setting the dosage.
The optional DOS Module is supplied
with its own installation and connection
instructions.
Maintenance of the dispensing
system
To ensure trouble-free operation the fol-
lowing regular maintenance should be
carried out by a Miele approved service
technician.
Every 12-18 months:
Replace the dispensing hoses in the
DOS modules.
Take care when handling liquid
agents and additives. These may
contain irritant or corrosive ingredi-
ents.
Follow the manufacturer’s safety in-
structions and relevant Health and
Safety procedures carefully.
Wear protective gloves and goggles.
