DANGER: NEVER GO DOWN THE HILL WITH
THE TRAVEL LEVER IN THE NEUTRAL
POSITION “N” – ALWAYS HAVE THE LAWN
TRACTOR IN GEAR.
WARNING:
Never let the grass catcher
become too full as it may block the
collector channel.
WARNING: Take care when beginning
forward movement on sloping ground to
prevent the risk of tipping up. Reduce the
forward speed before going on a slope,
particularly downhill.
DANGER: REDUCE SPEED BEFORE ANY
CHANGE OF DIRECTION ON SLOPES.
DANGER: NEVER USE REVERSE TO REDUCE
SPEED GOING DOWNHILL.
DANGER: CONTROL OF THE MACHINE MAY
BE LOST, PARTICULARLY ON SLIPPERY
SURFACES.
The major reasons which cause the collector channel to
become blocked are cutting:
1. Very tall grass
2. Wet/humid grass
3. At too high ground speed
If the collector channel becomes block, it is necessary to:
1. Immediately stop the forward movement.
2. Disengage the blades.
3. Stop the engine.
4. Remove the grass catcher or stone guard.
5. Remove the accumulated cuttings which are causing
the blockage, by reaching them from the exit of the
collector channel.
WARNING:
This task must only be
performed when the engine is turned
OFF.

Stopping on a slope
How to unblock the collector channel
Emptying the grass catcher container
1. Avoid starting or stopping on a slope. If tyres lose
traction, turn off the blades and proceed slowly straight
down the slope.
2. If you must stop or start on a hill, always have enough
space for the unit to roll when you release the brake and
engage the clutch.
3. To start again, make sure the shift lever is in the slowest
speed. Move the throttle control to the SLOW position.
Slowly release the pedal.
4. Do not stop or change speed settings on a hill. If you
must stop, quickly push the clutch/brake pedal forward
and set the parking brake.
5. Always engage a low gear before leaving the machine
stopped or unattended.
6. After turning off the engine or leaving the lawn tractor
unattended ALWAYS secure it with the hand parking
brake.
1. Disengage the blades.
2. Reduce the engine speed.
3. Go into neutral “N” and stop the lawn tractor.
4. If on a slope, engage the hand parking brake.
5. Tip the container with the help of the handle (Fig 34).
NOTE:
Emptying the grass catcher container can only
be completed when the blades are disengaged,
otherwise the engine stops.
6. Pull the lever towards you which will tip the grass
catcher, therefore, emptying it.
7. Close the grass catcher container ensuring it has been
locked into position.
