STARTING
1.
Check that the chain brake is applied before plugging in the saw to avoid accidents.
Plug in the power cord.
2.
Place one hand on the front handle and the other on the back handle.
Do not hold the chain brake.
3.
Pull the chain brake back towards the front handle.
4.
The chain saw has a two-hand operated safety switch. Press your thumb on the lock button
and at the same time press the power switch.
5.
The chain saw starts.
STOPPING
1.
Stop the chain saw by pressing the power switch or lock button.
2.
Activate the chain brake.
3.
Unplug the plug from the power point.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Unplug the power cord before all maintenance and cleaning.
CLEANING
1.
Clean the casing with a damp cloth – do not use solvent or detergent. Wipe the casing dry.
2.
Make sure that the ventilation openings are free from debris and blockages.
FILLING THE CHAIN OIL
Fill up with oil when the oil tank is empty (see oil level gauge). The chain is lubricated automatically
via the lubrication hole.
1.
Place the machine level with the oil cap pointing up.
2.
Clean the area round the cap with a cloth and then unscrew the cap.
3.
Fill with a biodegradable chain oil. Use only new, biodegradable oil approved as chain oil.
Make sure that no dirt gets into the tank.
4.
Screw the cap back on.
