• Use suitable safety equipment. Always wear safety glasses.
Personal safety equipment such as a dust filter mask, non-slip
safety shoes, safety helmet or ear protection (depending on how
the power tool is used), reduces the risk of personal injury.
• Avoid accidental starting. Check that the power switch is in the OFF
position before plugging in the power cord and/or the battery.
Carrying a power tool with your finger on the switch, or connecting
a tool to the mains when the switch is in the ON position, increases
the risk of accidents and injuries.
• Always check that Allan keys/spanners etc. have been removed
from the power tool before switching it on. A tool or key left in a
rotating machine part can result in personal injury.
• Avoid standing in an awkward positions. Always maintain a firm
footing and good balance. It will then be easier to control the power
tool in unexpected situations.
• Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or
jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and hands away from moving
parts. Loose-fitting clothing, jewellery or long hair can get caught
in moving parts.
• If dust extraction and dust collection equipment is available, this
should be connected and used correctly. Dust extraction
equipment can reduce risks associated with dust.
Using and looking after power tools
• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for the
planned work. The correct power tool will work better and more
safely when used within the specified performance range.
• Do not use the tool if it cannot be switched on and off with the
power switch. A power tool that cannot be switched on or off with
the power switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
