• If the power cord needs to be replaced this must be done by the
manufacturer or their representative to ensure safe use.
Special safety instructions for chain saws
• Keep your hands and the rest of your body away from the chain.
Check that nothing is touching the chain when starting the tool. A
moment of inattention when working with the chain saw can
cause clothes or parts of the body to fasten in the chain.
• Hold the chain saw with your right hand on the back handle and
your left hand on the front handle. Do not use a reverse grip, this
will increase the risk of injury.
• Wear safety glasses and ear protection. It is recommended to use
additional protection for the head, hands, legs and feet. Good
protective clothing reduces the risk of injury from swirling splinters
and chips, and if you should come into contact with the chain.
• Do not work with the chain saw from a position you have climbed
up to in a tree. Working from up in a tree increases the risk of
injury.
• Stand on a firm, safe and level surface. Slippery or unstable
surfaces (such as a ladder) can cause you to lose your balance, or
lose control of the tool.
• Branches under pressure can kickback when cutting them.

tool out of your hands.
• Be especially careful when cutting brushwood or young wood. The
thin stems can fasten in the chain and hit you, or cause you to lose
your balance.
• Hold the chain saw in the front handle with the chain turned away
from you when switched off. Always put the bar guard on when
moving and for storage. Make sure the chain does not come into
contact with any part of your body when working.
• Follow the instructions for lubrication, chain tensioning and the
