SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully before use!

IMPORTANT!
•
The machine is only intended for trimming grass and clearing bushes.
•
The only accessories which may be used with this power tool are the blades recommended by the
retailer.
•
The machine must never be used by anyone who is tired, ill, under the influence of alcohol or who
has taken medication which could affect their vision, judgement or coordination.
•
Wear personal protective equipment.
•
Never use a machine which has been modified in any way in relation to the original specifications.
•
Never use a machine which is not working correctly. All checks, maintenance and service instructions
described in these operating instructions must be carried out. Some maintenance and service
measures must be carried out by qualified service personnel.
•
All guards, covers and handles must be fitted before starting the machine. Check that the spark
plug cap and ignition lead are undamaged in order to avoid any risk of electric shock.
•
Machine operators must ensure they keep both people and animals at a safe distance of at least
15 metres while working with the machine.
•
Never allow children or adults who have not read the instructions to operate the machine.
There may be a local statutory minimum age to operate the machine.
•
Properly secure the machine during transportation to avoid fuel leakage, damage or personal injury.
•
Clean and maintain the machine before placing into storage.
•
Use guards for any metal blades when transporting and storing.
•
There may be national regulations (occupational legislation, environmental legislation)
which restrict the use of this machine.
•
Examine the machine on a daily basis, before use and any time it is dropped or exposed
to other knocks, in order to identify any serious damage.
•
Ensure that you always have a good foothold and balance when operating the machine
and use the accompanying harness.
•
Take regular and sufficient breaks during the working day to prevent vibration-related injuries
or hearing damage.
This machine produces an electromagnetic field during operation. This field may, under certain
circumstances, affect active or non-active medical implants. To reduce the risk of serious injury or
death, persons with medical implants should consult their doctor and the manufacturer of the
medical implant before using the machine.
The exhaust fumes from the engine contain poisonous carbon monoxide. Running an engine in an
enclosed or badly ventilated area can result in death due to suffocation or carbon monoxide poisoning.
