Make sure that the test strip is inserted into
the test strip port completely.

See if the test strip is covered in debris or lint.

Make sure the blood is applied to the test strip
correctly.

Make sure the test strip is inserted correctly
and repeat the test.

See if the test strip is covered in debris or lint.
Also make sure the test strip has not been out
of its container for any extended period of
time.

Make sure the test strip has not been used
before.
•
Verify the expiration date on the test strip
vial.
The test result is abnormal.
