The SETUP menu
All settings are made in the SETUP menu that you open using the SETUP key. These settings include,
for example, TV Format, TV Type or language settings.
1.
Press
SETUP

The main page of the SETUP Menu, with the five menus below, will appear on the screen:

SYSTEM SETUP

DIGITAL SETUP
1.
Select the required menu with the
Navigation buttons first.
2.
Then, move within the menu selected with the
Navigation buttons.
3.
Press the SETUP button again or select the BACK Menu point, in order to fade out the Setup
Menu again.
System SETUP
TV System
Select the colour standard here:
NTSC
: Usual colour format for North America.
PAL
: Usual colour format for Australia and many European countries.
AUTO
: The image format will be selected according the DVD inserted.
Screen Saver
ON
: If not used for a while a screen saver will appear.
OFF
: Screen saver function disabled.
TV Type
Here you set the device's display format to match that of the screen or television.
4:3/PS
: Selection for televisions with 4:3 format. The Pan Scan format represents 16:9 full height film
formats; side sections of the image are cut off.
4:3/LB
: Selection for televisions with 4:3 format. The letterbox format reduces the 16:9 film format to
the size of the screen.
16:9
: Selection for televisions with 16:9 format.
Password
The password is used to control the access to the
RATING
menu (see next paragraph).
1.
Go to the right side of the Menu with the navigation button or
.
2.
Enter the existing password, if the lock symbol is closed. It consists of precisely four digits. The
factory setting of
0000
will apply if no password has been set up yet.
3.
You will be able to enter a new, four-digit password, if the lock symbol is open. Make a note of
this password, so that you will not forget it.
