Cleaning and care
• Always disconnect the device from the mains supply before cleaning it.
• Only use a dry, soft cloth to clean the device. Do not use chemical solutions
and cleaning products because these may damage the device’s surface and/or
inscriptions.
Power supply
ATTENTION!
Even when the ON/CHARGE switch is off, some components of the device are
live. To disconnect the power from your device or to completely isolate the
device from voltage sources, unplug the device completely from the mains.
• Only plug the mains adapter into an earthed socket with 100–240 V~ 50 Hz.
Contact your electricity provider if you are not sure if the socket is earthed or not.
• For extra safety, we recommend using an overvoltage protection device to prevent
the product from sustaining damage as a result of power surges or lightning
strikes.
• To interrupt the power supply, pull the mains adapter from the socket.
• The mains adapter must remain easily accessible after connection so that it can be
unplugged quickly in an emergency.
• To avoid overheating, do not cover the mains adapter.
• If you are using an extension cable, make sure that it complies with VDE
requirements. If in doubt, contact your electrician.
• Position the cable so that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
• To avoid damaging the cable, do not place any objects on it.
