Connecting devices
Connecting headphones
The headphones are connected to the headphone socket.
Caution!
Using headphones at high volume generates excessive acoustic pressure and
can result in permanent hearing damage. Before pressing play, set the volume
to the lowest setting. Start playback and increase the volume to a comfortable
level. Changes to the basic equaliser settings can increase the volume and thus
damage your hearing permanently.
Using headphones to listen to a device at high volumes for an
extended period can damage your hearing.
Digital amplifier via coaxial connection
The
SPDIF Coax.OUT
connection lets you play back the audio signal of your LCD
TV through a digital amplifier.
To do so, connect a coaxial cable to the SPDIF Coax.OUT connection on the LCD TV
and to the corresponding input of the amplifier.
Connecting a DVD player
There are a number of options for connecting a DVD player.
1. With a SCART cable
Connect a DVD player to the SCART socket using a SCART cable.
2. With a stereo cinch cable and a video cinch / S-
video cable
Connect a video cinch cable (yellow jack) between the video input on the LCD TV
and the video output on the external device.
Connect a stereo cinch cable (red and white jacks) between the audio inputs on
the LCD TV and the audio outputs on the external device.
