Code identification
The code identification function allows you to specify codes which have already been
entered and are stored in the remote control. Proceed as follows:
Switch on the relevant device manually.
Briefly press the required source button (
STB
,
DVD
,
VCR
,
AUX
). The blue LED
flashes.
Keep the
CODE
button pressed for approx. three seconds until the blue LED stays
lit.
Briefly press the
CODE
button. The blue LED flashes once more.
To find the first number, press the number buttons from 0 to 9. When the blue
LED goes out briefly, it is the first stored number.
To determine the second number, press the number buttons from 0 to 9 again.
Repeat the procedure for the third and fourth number.
The blue LED will go out as soon as the button for the fourth number has been
pressed.
The code identification process has now been completed.
Normal operation
Operating individual devices
After you have finished programming your remote control for your audio/video
devices, the remote control will work in the most common functions just like the
original remote control of the respective device.
Point your remote control at the required device and press the relevant source
button. Use the remaining buttons as usual. The blue LED will light up each time an
infrared signal is transmitted.
Activate the functions by pressing the corresponding function button on your
universal remote control.
Please note:
Not every function of your original remote control may be directly available on the
universal remote control.
Newer devices in particular may have some functions stored under different
buttons than expected or may not even be available at all.
