Using the number keys on the keypad enter the six digit numeric
password that was previously established and press the “START/YES”
key (the “STOP/NO” key can be used as a backspace key). Once the
correct password is entered the CD-5916 will continue starting up as
usual.
Changing Or Removing A Password

Turn on the power to the CD-5916 and wait for the screen:

While this is displayed, press and hold the “3” key until the password
entry screen is displayed:
O L D P A S S WO R D :

Enter the old password using the number keys and press the
“START/YES” key (the “STOP/NO” key can be used as a backspace
key). The screen will now read:
N E W P A S S WO R D :
•
Enter a new password and press the “START/YES” key.
•
To disable password protection instead press the “START/YES” key
without entering a new password. The screen will now show:
D I S A B L E P A S S WO R D ?
•
Press the “START/YES” key. The password is now disabled. The CD-
5916 will now start up as usual.
