MAINTENANCE
Beware of blades and belt areas when maintaining and servicing.
Initial Maintenance
After an initial 2 hours work check tightness of blade bolts.
After the first day’s work, all bolts and screws must be checked and re-tightened.
Routine Maintenance
Inspect belts and check their tension every 3-5 working hours;
re-tension if required.
Check all bolts and screws on a regular basis;
re-tighten as and when required.
Remove belt cover and clean the inside of the belt housing.
Check the condition of hydraulic hoses and connections;
leaking or damaged hydraulic
components must be replaced before using the machine.
Belts
It is vital that all belts are kept in good condition and correctly tensioned at all times.
Checking Belt Tension
The tension of the belts must be checked on a regular basis and adjusted as and when
necessary to the specified figures stated in this manual. Tension should be measured at the
mid-point positions of the longest belt runs using a belt tension gauge or sonic tension meter.
