1.
Position router bracket and mark hole positions.
Depending on material, drill a pilot hole or use a
bradawl. Mount the router mounting bracket to the
surface using the 2 x No.6 Screws provided.
Note: Make sure the ‘Maxview Logo’ is
horizontal and in the correct orientation.
IMPORTANT - Be careful when placing the Routers
location that it is not too close to other electrical
control devices. Mounting too close can cause the
router to malfunction.
Router Installation
The optimum positioning for the WiFi antennas on the
Roam X Router is pointing directly upwards. However,
the unit can be fitted with the antenna at a 45° or 90°
angle, or pointing downwards or forwards.
This may have a small detrimental effect on the
signal strength, which will become more significant
at greater distances from the router. However, for
leisure vehicle applications, this will likely only cause
a negligible drop in performance.
!
3.
Attach the Wi-Fi antennas to the bottom
connectors. These are marked ‘Wi-FI’. These should be
positioned so they are vertical.
2.
Join the Antenna’s Coaxial Cables to the 2m
Extension Cable. Then attach the joined cables to the
Router to the top 2 connectors. These are marked
‘mobile’. Note the order of the cables does not matter.
All connections should be kept inside the vehicle.
IMPORTANT - To prevent damage take
care to ensure the centre pins are
aligned before attaching the connector.
