Certification and Environment
The Roam X 3G/4G/Wi-Fi system has been designed, constructed and marketed in compliance with
the safety and product requirements of the relevant EEC Directives.
Products marked with the crossed out wheely bin must not be disposed of with normal household
waste but made available for separate household collection. Separate collection of used products
and their packaging allows materials to be recycled and used again. Re use of recycled materials
helps prevent environmental pollution and reduces the demand for raw materials.
UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking is a certification mark that indicates conformity with
the applicable requirements for products sold within Great Britain.
20. What is WAN Failover?
Once Wi-Fi has been activated as the internet source, the Roam X uses WAN failover as default. This feature is
designed to overcome the need to manually switch the internet source between mobile and Wi-Fi. When a
Wi-Fi connection has been set up, the Roam X Router will prioritise this as the source of internet and only use
the mobile connection when the Wi-Fi is no longer available.
19. What does the Maxview Roam X App do?
The Maxview Roam X App is available free of charge to all customers who have purchased a Maxview Roam X.
It is available to download from the Android Google Play and Apple App Stores.
The Roam X App is designed to simplify some of the key functions of the Maxview Roam X including set up,
changing the Roam X hotspot Wi-Fi name/password as well as switching between 3G/4G and Wi-Fi source.
With the Roam X App, it is no longer necessary to access the router settings through the web browser.
