volat ile m em or y using t he WR ( Wr it e) com m and. Ot herw ise, param et ers are rest ored t o previously
saved values w hen t he m odem is pow ered off and t hen on again.

Commands
To read a parameter value stored in the modem register, leave the parameter field blank.
The preceding exam ple w ould change t he m odem ’s Dest inat ion Address t o " 0x1F" . To st ore t he
new value t o non- volat ile ( long t erm ) m em ory, t he Writ e ( ATWR) com m and m ust subsequent ly be
sent before pow ering off t he m odem .

When a com m and is sent t o t he m odem , t he m odem will parse and execut e
t he com m and. Upon successful execut ion of a com m and, t he m odem ret urns an “ OK” m essage. I f
execut ion of a com m and result s in an error, t he m odem ret urns an “ ERROR” m essage.
