6-2 External Switch
You can turn the output ON / OFF through the External Switch. This function can be implemented using
the following method.
When the External Switch is used to turn the output ON/OFF (short = output ON, open = output OFF*), as
the External Switch is opened, the output will stop and the status LED will blink blue.
When the External Switch is shorted while the status LED is blinking in blue, the output starts and the
status LED lights up in red.
*If the OUTPUT switch is pressed while the External Switch is open and the status LED is flashing blue,
the status LED will light up green. Note that even if you short circuit the External Switch at this time, the
output will not start.
Follwing this, as the External switch is open, the status LED will blink blue, and when the External Switch
is shorted, the output will start.
(Output can be started by the External Switch only when the status LED is blinking blue.)
*External Switch operation at power on
When the power failure protection function is enabled
If the External Switch is opened and the power is turned off in the output ready state (status LED
flashing blue), the power failure protection function will be activated, and when the power is
turned on again, the output ready state will also be canceled (status LED lit green).
To start outputting, the External Switch must be opened, short-circuited, and then opened to put
the unit into the output ready state (status LED flashing blue), and then the External Switch must
be short circuited to start outputting.
When the power failure protection function is disabled
If the power is turned off with the External Switch open and in the output ready state (status LED
blinking blue), the power failure protection function has been cancel when the power is turned on
again, the unit will start up with the output ready state maintained (status LED blinking blue).
To start outputting, short ircuit the External Switch.
(Note that with the External Switch short-circuited, the outputting will start when the power is
turned on.)
