If DSS45 is connected close to the system then connection boxes
and RJ11 to RJ11 cable are not required.
Please follow the following steps and make connections as shown
in the figure: (When DSS45 is installed closed to the system)
•
Switch OFF the system. Wait for 10 seconds to allow the power
supply to discharge.
•
Attach COM port end of the Splitter Cable to the system.
Fix the mounting screws to get proper connections.
•
Lay DB-9 to RJ-11 cable from the system to DSS45 (reception
area). DB-9 connector end of the cable should be connected to
the splitter cable.
•
Please note that if DSS45 is used with Focus or Empire
then it should be connected to the thick cable of the splitter
cable and if DSS45 is used with Team then it should be
connected to the thin cable.
The other end of the cable having
RJ11 connector is to be connected to DSS45.
• MDF wires (two hanging wires) coming out from DB-9 connector
