C. Teaching method
Step 1
Simultaneously press and hold the “MODE” button
corresponding to the device and the “ASPECT” button for 3
seconds. The light on the mode button selected will turn on,
indicating that the remote control is ready to be programmed.
Step 2
Align the UR5L remote control with the remote control of the
device. You must place them about 2 to 4 cm (1 to 2 inches) apart.
Step 3
Press any button on the UR5L remote control that you want to
“teach” a function. For instance, if you want to program the
“Mute” button, press the “Mute” button on the UR5L remote
control.
Step 4
Press and release the button you want to program on the
device’s remote control until the “MODE” button on the UR5L
remote control from step 1 blinks twice. Press and release the
“Mute” button on the device’s remote control until the TV mode
on the UR5L remote control blinks twice.
Note
The “MODE” button will blink 5 times if a mistake has been made
during this process. If this is the case, repeat steps 3 and 4. You
can continue teaching the remote by repeating steps 3 and 4 with
other buttons.
Step 5
Once the process is complete for all the functions you want for
the “MODE” button, save the functions the remote has learned
by pressing the “MODE” button which is lit up and the “ASPECT”
button until the “MODE” button blinks 3 times. You can now test
the buttons to make sure the remote control has been correctly
programmed.
D. Deleting a “learned” function
Step 1
Simultaneously press and hold the “MODE” button corresponding
to the device and the “ASPECT” button for 3 seconds. The light on
the selected mode button will turn on, indicating that the remote
control is ready to be programmed.
Step 2
Press and hold the button that contains the function you want to
delete for 3 seconds. The mode button selected in step 1 will blink
twice to confirm the deletion.
Step 3
To exit “Unlearn” mode, press and hold the “MODE” button that
is lit up and the “ASPECT” button simultaneously until the mode
button blinks three times.
E. Deleting all the “learned” functions for a “MODE” button
Step 1
Simultaneously press and hold the “MODE” button
corresponding to the device and the “ASPECT” button for 3
seconds. The light on the mode button selected will turn on,
indicating that the remote control is ready to be programmed.
Step 2
Press and hold the “MODE” button selected in step 1 and the
“Pause” button for 5 seconds. The “MODE” button will blink
twice to confirm the deletion.
Step 3
To exit “Unlearn” mode, press and hold the “MODE” button
that is lit up and the “ASPECT” button simultaneously until the
“MODE” button blinks three times.
