Data battery back-up siren wiring (DBBSMV2)
The AVS data siren V2 has the following wires located on it:
Red:
connect to +12V wire from alarm module bundled with other alarm wires, marked with red and white
sheathing. Ensure the 12v supply is fused.
Black:
connect to GND wire from alarm module bundled with other alarm wires, marked with red and white
sheathing.
White:
this is the siren trigger wire. It must connect to the SIREN wire from the alarm module. A maximum of
two data sirens can be connected to this wire.
Note: As this is a data wire, no other type of siren can be
connected to it.
The SIREN wire can be found with other alarm wires, marked with red and white sheathing.
Green:
this wire gives a constant 200mA negative output (-alarm) when the alarm is triggered. It can be used
to run additional piezo sirens or to activate the horn (additional relays may be needed). This is also useful for
installations which require both a piezo siren and tilt sensor, as it allows the piezo to be activated via the
–
ALARM wire from the siren, and the
–
ARM from the module can be used to activate the tilt upon arming.
Please note that turning the siren key off will also disable this wire output.
Brown:
the bonnet wire is one length of wire looped within the siren. Connect the brown wire to the HOOD
IN wire from the alarm module bundled with the other siren wires in the red and white sheathing. Connect the
black wire coming from the siren labeled BONNET to the bonnet pin.
