
H4 - BATTERY FAILURE
REPLACE
- Remove the access panel 1 to access the fuses and relays, after unscrewing the 2 wheels.
- Remove relay K3 (fig. H4/1).
- Bring a back-up battery of the same type as the one used for the lift truck, together with battery
cables.
- Using a power cable (minimum wire section 5 square), connect the + wire on the corresponding
terminal 87 to the relay K3, with the (+) terminal of the back-up battery (fig. H4/2).
Ensure that the overhead guard or cab raising conditions are respected (See: 2 - DESCRIPTION: 19 - OVERHEAD
GUARD RAISING or 19 - CAB RAISING (OPTION)).
- Unlock the cab or the overhead guard.
- Maintain the door half-open.
- Connect the (-) terminal of the back-up battery on the frame ground.
Maintain contact until the cab is fully raised.
- Place the safety stay in position.
- Replace the battery.
Handling and servicing a battery can be dangerous, take the following precautions:
- Wear protective goggles.
- Keep the battery horizontal.
- Never smoke or work near a naked flame.
- Work in a well-ventilated area.
- In the event of electrolyte being spilled onto the skin or splashed in the eyes, rinse
thoroughly with cold water for 15 minutes and call a doctor.

ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
- Place the unladen lift truck in the transport position and perpendicular
to a white wall on flat, level ground (fig. H5).
- Check the tire pressures (see: 2 - DESCRIPTION: CHARACTERISTICS).
- Put the gear reverser lever in neutral and release the parking brake.
