The initial OAE screen displays instructions for preparation of the patient (Table 16).

Probe Check Screen
During the probe check information is displayed regarding the quality of the fit of the
probe in the ear canal* and the amount of acoustic background noise (Table 17). Once
the probe fit is good and the acoustic noise is below a threshold level the probe check
terminates and the OAE measurement phase begins automatically.
NOTE
: Probe fit information displayed varies slightly between DPOAE and TEOAE test types.
