1.5 Safety instructions
1. Only use the ventilation unit in accordance with the application purpose
described above.
2. Ask your installer to familiarise you with the unit and the operator panel once
installation is completed.
3. Never operate the ventilation unit without a filter.
4. Check the filter regularly for dirt and damage. See Chapter 3, Cleaning,
maintenance.
5. Change the filter regularly, once every three months. If the system is not
used during the summer, the filter must be changed before starting up again.
6. Replacement filter: Only use original filters.
7. In the case of damage to the unit, make sure you switch the mains fuse off
(disconnect the unit from the mains supply).
8. The ventilation unit should not be used as a toy.
9. Disconnect the unit from the mains supply before carrying out any cleaning,
maintenance and repair work. To do this, switch off the mains fuse at the fuse
box and position a visible warning notice to avoid the unit being accidentally
switched back on.
10. Installation and repair work may only be carried out by authorised specialists.
Only qualified electricians are permitted to make the electrical connections.
11. The front door safety circuit breaker switches the ventilation unit off
automatically, if the front door is opened. Never disable the circuit breaker
as you could cause yourself significant injury if you reach into a running fan.
12. Behave in a security and safety-conscious way when opening the front door.
No persons, animals or objects should be within the opening area of the door,
in order to avoid injuries and damage.
13. Switch the system off immediately if you discover damage or faults that
could endanger persons or property. Further use must be prevented until a
complete maintenance check has been carried out.
14. Never operate without duct connections and sound absorbers. Only
operate the ventilation unit when all duct connections are in place. Sound
absorbers significantly reduce the noise emissions.
15. The ventilation unit may only be used in line with the calculations carried out
by the Engineering office. These must comply with the Equipment Safety
Law as well as the pertinent regulations laid down by the EC Directives.
16. Take environmental effects into account. Do not install the system near
combustible liquids or gases, in swimming pools or under the influence of
chemicals.
17. Never integrate extractors in the ventilation unit's exhaust air or outgoing air
circuit. They must be operated separately.
18. Operation with air-ventilated fireplaces: In the case of apartments with
ventilation systems, these are governed by DIN 1946, Part 6. Pay particular
attention to the fire protection requirements.
19. Modifications and alterations to the ventilation unit are not permitted and
release the manufacturer from any guarantee obligations and liability.
