1.3 Application areas, application purpose
This ventilation system with heat recovery provides controlled ventilation of
apartments, etc. The system is operated from a separate operator unit.
Ventilation handles the air exchange within the building. The used air is
transported to the outside, while at the same time extracting the heat from it.
During this process, over 90% of the exhaust air heat is recovered, i.e. it is
supplied to the outside air as it flows past in the heat exchanger. The ventilation
unit is not suitable for drying out new builds.
1.4 Regulations for operation with fireplaces
1. The ventilation unit may not be operated with open fireplaces.
2. The ventilation unit may only then be installed and operated in rooms with
other air-ventilated fireplaces, if the exhaust gas duct is monitored by
special safety devices. These must also switch the ventilation system off
if they are triggered. It must be ensured that the operation of the unit does
not generate negative pressure of less than 4 Pa in the living unit.
3. Operation is not permitted in living units with air-ventilated fireplaces that
are connected to exhaust gas systems, which themselves have multiple
connections.
4. The ventilation unit may not be operated at the same time as solid fuel
fireplaces.
5. In order to permit the intended operation of a ventilation system equipped
with this ventilation unit, it must be possible to block off any combustion
air ducts or exhaust gas ducts from solid fuel fireplaces.
