PRINTER DRIVER PROBLEMS

When a document is sent nothing
happens at the Printer.
1.
Printer is “Offline”.
2.
Incorrect Printer selected within the
Operating System.
3.
Incorrect Port selected in the Driver
settings.
4.
Corrupted or deleted Driver within the
Operating System.
1.
Re-initialise the Printer ensuring
Dye-Film is fitted and it reports
“Ready”.
2.
Ensure the printing application is
set to print to the Rio Pro. Perhaps
it should be set as the default
Printer.
3.
USB printing Port should be
selected to USB001.
4.
Remove the current Driver and re-
install the latest version.
When a document is sent to the
Printer it appears in the print queue
(Spooler) but nothing happens at
the Printer.
1.
Printer is “Off-Line”.
2.
Windows Spooler is “Paused”.
1.
Re-initialise the Printer ensuring
Dye-Film is fitted and it reports
“Ready”.
2.
Right Click on the Printer Driver
and choose “Unpause Printer”.
Print document is jammed in the
print queue (Spooler).
1.
Corrupted Print Job sent to Printer.
2.
Printer is “Off-Line”.
3.
Incorrect Port selected in the Driver
settings.
1.
Delete the Print Job from the queue
and resend the document.
2.
Re-initialise the Printer ensuring
Dye-Film is fitted and it reports
“Ready”.

USB printing Port should be
selected to USB001.
When a document is sent to the
Printer it appears in the print queue
(Spooler) and disappears
immediately.

Try a known working USB cable.

Support for another Controller PCB.
After installing the Driver and
connecting, Windows registers the
Printer but nothing appears in the
Printer list.
1.
Printer is “Off-Line”.
2.
Corrupted Printer Driver.
3.
Conflicting Printer Driver files.

Damaged Controller PCB.
1.
Re-initialise the Printer ensuring
Dye-Film is fitted and it reports
“Ready”.
2.
Remove the current Driver and re-
install the latest version.

Remove all other Card Printer
Drivers.

Contact Magicard Technical
Support for another Controller PCB.
After installing the Driver and
connecting the Printer “Found New
Hardware” Wizard appears.
1.
“Beta” Driver is/has been installed.
2.
Partitioned Hard Drive.

Contact Magicard Technical
Support for advice about removing
“Beta” Drivers.
2.
Install the Driver onto the partition
where the Operating System is
loaded. You may have to copy files
from one partition to another.
