NOTE
While the PA Hail mode is active, you will receive on the last selected channel, and
receive DSC calls. Transmitting on the last selected channel will not operate.
7.2 Fog Horn
Fog Horn operation allows your
MT-700
transceiver to emit a various warning signals
through the PA Speaker when the visibility is bad. You can select from the following
4 automatic and 2 manual patterns:
UNDERWAY:
Motor vessel underway and making way.
STOP:
Motor vessel underway but stopped (not making way).
SAIL:
Sailing vessel underway, fishing vessel (underway or
anchored), vessel not under command, a vessel
restricted in her ability to maneuver (underway or at
anchor), or a vessel towing or pushing another ahead.
Automatic
TOW:
Vessel under tow (manned).
HORN:
Signal for passing.
Manual
SIREN:
Yelp type emergency siren.
To enable the Fog Horn operation:
•
Press the
key.
PA/FOG
Menu topics appear in the display.
•
Rotate the
SELECT/ENT
knob to position the cursor on the
FOG
topic.
•
Push the
SELECT/ENT
knob. The Fog Horn selections appear in the display.
