Make sure that oil reservoir and fuel tank caps are prop-
erly installed.
Tilt bed trailers can easily be equipped with a winch
mechanism to afford maximum safety in loading. Simple
as it may seem, never drive your snowmobile onto a tilt
bed trailer or any other kind of trailer or vehicle. Many
serious accidents have resulted from driving up and
over a trailer. Anchor your vehicle securely, front and
rear, even on short hauls. Be certain all equipment is se-
curely fastened. Cover your snowmobile when trailering
to prevent road grime from causing damage.
Be certain your trailer meets state or provincial require-
ments. Ensure the hitch and safety chains are secure
and the brake, turn indicators and clearance lights all
function.
