If a snowmobile is disabled and must be towed use a
rigid tow bar. Remove the drive belt from disabled snow-
mobile, refer to

and tow at moderate speed.

In an emergency situation only, if a rigid tow bar is not
available, a rope can be used. Proceed with extra cau-
tion. In some areas, it may be illegal to do so. Check
with state or local authorities.
Remove the drive belt, attach the rope to the ski legs
(spindles), have someone sit on the towed snowmobile
to activate the brake, and tow at low speed.
