2.3.1
On/Start key
A short press on ON/Start key will switch the instrument
ON.
To switch the instrument off hold
ESC/OFF
key for a
few seconds and the instrument will be switched off. To switch the instrument off during the flight needs a
confirmation from the pilot, not to be switched off by mistake.
IMPORTANT!
After having a short power brake during flight and the instrument will be off for a few seconds
, it will not produce
two flights.
During flight the key is used to start the task, to see more character of airport name and to step one step back if the
edit menu is active (see paragraph APT).
2.3.2
Mode selector
⇔
(rotary switch)
The
⇔
is used to change modes of operation. This switch has the
highest priority in
the system. Whenever it is
activated
a mode changeover will happen.
2.3.3
Up/down selector
v
(rotary switch)
This rotary switch has lower priority than
⇔
switch and is active all the time in the selected mode. It is mainly used
for selecting sub menus during navigation and to scroll in edit menu.
2.3.4
ENTER key
The main function of that key is
confirmation
and to start edit procedures.
2.3.5
ESC/OFF key
It is a multifunctional key, which has two main functions.
•
After ESC a jump to one menu higher will follow
•
By input of letters and numbers (blinking cursor)
ESC confirms the whole row
(not necessary to press ENTER
few times)
IMPORTANT!
Longer press on ESC/OFF will switch the unit off. During the flight an additional warning will be activated and
switching off will follow after confirmation.
It is not possible to switch the unit off from SETUP.
2.3.6
ZOOM (rotary switch)
This is a multifunctional rotary switch. Its main function is changing the
zoom level in graphic mode.
Additionally the zoom switch is used as follows:

To select turnpoints (only in TP main page)
•
After a mistake by edit it is possible to go back rotating this knob (only by blinking cursor)
