APT Airports
This is one of three main navigation modes (APT, TP, TSK). To change the mode simple rotate

or use GO TO
function. The first page shows the basic navigation data (bearing, distance, ground track and vario average (AVG) or
netto (NET in SC). Additional information will follow in three more nav. pages activated using the
v
. The airport
memory of LX 7000 has a capacity for approx. 5000 airports. The airport data can’t be edited in the instrument; all
necessary updates should be done using PC. The database used in LX 7000 is Filser licensed Jeppesen database. The
database is not free, that means an update is possible only after getting a code. The code is available through Filser
Electronic only and depends on the database version and serial number of the LX 7000. The database can be
downloaded from the Internet using the following addresses:

Navigation in APT
There are four navigation pages and the first one has the following structure.
The airport names are normally displayed using 8 characters, after pressing
START 12 characters will appear.
IMPORTANT!
TP and TSK have the same basic navigation pages as APT.
The arrow (Dir. Indicator) will show the pilot where to turn (left or right) to proceed to the airport.
After rotating the
v
, graphic page will appear. The same page can be found in TP and TSK too.
The airports will be present with symbols and short names or ICAO corresponding to setting in 3.1.2.5.
