Inspect grinding wheel
Visual check
– Check the grinding wheel on both sides for
cracks or damage.
Ringing test
– For testing the grinding wheel with a ringing test
let it hang freely on a strap and lightly tap it with
a screwdriver handle or similar object (not
metal).
With a dull or hollow ring the grinding
wheel is damaged and must not be used!
Removing and installing grinding wheel
– Unscrew screws (19).
– Remove protective hood (2).
– Unscrew tensioning nut (20).
– Remove the grinding wheel (4) from the engine
shaft.
– Mount the grinding wheel again in reverse order
of the operating steps.
Storage, transportation
Storage
– Clean unit before storing.
– Store the tool in a dry and well ventilated place.
Storage of grinding tools
– Always store abrasive bodies lying down on a
level surface.
– Only store abrasive bodies in dry and evenly
tempered, frost-free rooms.
– Protect abrasive bodies from direct sunlight dur-
ing storage.
Troubleshooting
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You
can easily remedy most of these yourself. Please
consult the following table before contacting the
vendor. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and
possibly money too.
If you can’t fix the fault yourself, contact your nearest
vendor. Please be aware that any improper repairs
will also invalidate the warranty and additional costs
may be incurred.

grinding residues with a
dry brush.

visual inspection and ringing testing for

With increasing abrasion the grinding wheel
diameter becomes smaller and the wheel
must be replaced.

Observe rota-
tion direction when installing grinding
wheel. The rotation direction of motor and
grinding wheel must correspond.

It must be possi-
ble to lightly slide the grinding wheel onto
the engine shaft. Do not force the grinding
wheel on or drill on.
After every grinding wheel mounting carry
out a test run without load.

unauthorised persons.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
Do not stored unprotected in a damp envi-
ronment.
Note:
Unfavourable ambient conditions
during storage can accelerate the ageing
process of grinding tools.
