2.7 Installing Mini GBIC (SFP) transceivers

The GigaCore 26i and GigaCore 26i with PoE come with six SFP cages 

at the rear of the unit. These cages accept mini GBIC transceivers.

 Insert the transceiver into the SFP cage. 

 

Once properly engaged, the transceiver can’t be removed.

 Open the bail wire to disengage and remove 

 

the mini-GBIC transceiver.

Be aware of the insertion direction: 

port 13 & 15 should read 21, 23 and 25

port 14 & 16 should read 22, 24 and 26
