Hardware Description
Overview of This Chapter
This chapter presents a description of the various hardware components of
the
PacketStar
™
Access Concentrator 60 system.
System Hardware Components
The following hardware components make up the AC 60 system:
•
Chassis—mounted in a standard 19-inch (48.26-cm) rack or a telco
frame, or placed on a shelf or table
•
Common equipment components—these are built into the chassis and
are not removable by the user:

Power Supply component: two alternating-current (AC) Power
Supplies are available—one requiring power at 110 V ac, 5 A, 300 W,
and one requiring power at 220 V ac, 2.5 A, 300 W
~
Stratum 3–4 component
~
Central Processing Unit (CPU) component
•
User-selected input/output (I/O) and server modules—”live” (that is,
power is applied to the AC 60 system) insertion into and removal from
the chassis backplane are supported:
