How many concurrent tasks can the SCSI-NG run?
A.
The SCSI-NG does not support multi-tasking and can run one task at a time.
Q.
Why is it when I clone a drive the number of bytes shown is twice the size of my Source drive?
A.
The number of bytes shown on the progress bar is not the actual size of the drive. This is the actual
data being processed. When ‘Verify’ is set to “Yes”, the reported number will double in size.
Q.
Do Target drives need to be wiped or formatted using the SCSI-NG?
A.
For Drive to Image mode, the SCSI-NG must be used to format the Target drive. This helps ensure
that the images and data are written properly to the Target drive.

Can the SCSI-NG clone Linux partitions?
A.
Yes. SCSI-NG can clone Linux partitions using Mirror or Clever clone.
Q.
Can the SCSI-NG clone the Apple File System (APFS), Hierarchical File System (HFS), or Hierarchical
File System Plus (HFS+)??
A.
Yes, SCSI-NG can clone APFS, HFS, and HFS+ using Mirror clone.

How does the SCSI-NG handle bad sectors on the Master drive?
A.
The SCSI-NG will retry the bad sector 7 times. After the 7
th
attempt, if the sector still cannot be read,
it will skip that sector and list the sector in the log file.

What operating system does SCSI-NG use?
A.
The SCSI-NG uses a Linux-based operating system. A Linux-based operating system provides
increased stability and security over Windows-based systems.

What file format does SCSI-NG use when formatting target drives?
A.
The SCSI-NG can format destination drives using the following file systems: EXT4, NTFS, exFAT, or
FAT32.
