Shutting down
10.1 Introduction
You can:
•
Shutting the appliance down for a brief period
("OFF" mode)
•
Isolating the appliance from the mains
•
Shutting the appliance down for a long period

10.2 Shutting the appliance down for a brief
period ("OFF" mode)
To shut down the appliance for a brief period, you can
set the appliance in 'OFF mode'. Activate frost
protection by switching the on/off switch on the control
panel to the 0 position. The pilot flame will remain on.
10.3 Isolating the appliance from the mains
The appliance may only be isolated from mains power
in the correct way. The correct procedure is as follows:
1. Shut down the appliance by putting the ON/OFF
switch to position 0.
2. Isolate the appliance from the power supply by
setting the isolator between the appliance and the
mains power supply to position 0.
3. The pilot flame will remain on, but you can
extinguish it if required by pressing the red button
(3) on the gas control (see the figure).

Note
The "OFF" and "Isolated" operating modes are
advisable only if there is no risk of frost. If frost can be
expected, you will need to drain the appliance, see

10.4 Shutting the appliance down for a long
period
If the device is to be shut down for a longer period, you
must drain the appliance
