6.3  Manual operation

In manual operation all functions are switchable over luminous rotary switches which
are installed on the front plate of the control unit. Therefore these functions should
be treated with caution.
For single locking devices please look into the separate operation manual of the
controller.

6.3  Operation with gas feeding

1.  Switch on cooling aggregate. Open cooling water. Open emergency water.

2.  Switch on main switch, green signal bulb "mains" lights.
Bulb "water" signalizes sufficient flow of cooling water.
Cooling fan assembly starts automatically when main switch is operated.
Fans are switched on as long as main switch is ON.

3.  Load furnace and then close screw locks tightly.

4.  Open quick lock valves for purge gas at rear.

5.  Set gas flow at flow meters to the needed value.
(A go down of the gas quantity to zero is possible and therefore always check it)

6.  Set safety temperature controller to value, approx. 50 °C above highest curve

value ( refer to separate manual for safety controller ).

7.  Program controller according to required temperature curve ( refer to separate

controller manual).

6.  Start program on Program controller.

Furnace system is now operational on programmer control and will be run fully
automatically according to the set program curve.

Switch off mains only when furnace temperature after end of program is below
300°C, (cooling fan must operate until that state).

Switch off cooling water only when furnace cooled down.
