Chapter 5: Using the Web-based Utility for Configuration
Help Tab

WebView Switches

Designated Bridge ID

. The bridge ID number that connects the link or shared LAN to the root.

Designated Port ID

. The Port ID number on the designated bridge that connects the link or the shared LAN to the 

root.

Designated Cost

. Cost of the path from the link or the shared LAN to the root.

Forward Transitions

. Number of times the port changed to the forwarding state. 

Remain Hops

. Indicates the number of hops remaining to the next destination.

Click the 

Submit

 button to save any of your changes on this screen.

Clicking the 

Interface Table 

button opens the MSTP Interface Table, which shows the Interface settings for each 

port.

Help Tab

When you are viewing any screen of the Web-based Utility and you want help information about the settings on 
that screen, click the 

Help

 tab. The relevant help information will automatically be displayed. At the end of the
