Driver software configuration setup files
There are many configuration properties that can be set up to customize the way the
TM4 software operates your CNC cutting system. You can change many of these prop-
erties and then save the configuration setup in a file. You can reload the custom config-
uration file at any time. To save time and get you started cutting as soon as possible, a
pre-configured file is supplied for your table.
Instructions • Launch the Torchmate 4 software from the Start menu or by double-
clicking the Torchmate 4 icon:
• The Torchmate driver software includes pre-configured setup files for
different table configurations. To use a configuration file, go to File

New Setup... .
• An information box appears reminding you that you are about to load
a pre-configured setup file.
• Use this reminder to remember that if you want to save your
current configuration before loading a new one you should use
the menu selection

Save Setup.
• You’ll have a chance to cancel.
• Click OK to continue.
• A selection box appears. Make the appropriate selection (refer to the
box below), then click Open.
• The default directory for loading new setups is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Torchmate 4\Configuration
• Another selection box immediately appears for saving the file that
you just loaded.
• This is so your can save the working copy of the setup file (and
reuse it later) without endangering the original default copy of the
setup file.
• The default directory for saving setup files (and later using File

Open Setup to reopen the setup file) is:
C:\Torchmate Data\Torchmate 4\Setup
