tings are stored in the non-volatile memory of transmitter. Make sure to verify these
settings and change them as necessary at the initial equipment setup.
"Measuring range"
determines measured and displayed distance range.
Fig. 6.9 Measurement range setting
“Minimum distance displayed”
– device does not display readings below this val-
ue. It is set within the stable measurement area. Default setting is at the “dead zone”
boundary (600 mm), which is optimum for the most applications. Where measure-
ment of smaller distances is required, this parameter can be decreased upon agre-
ment with JSC LIMACO. Importantly, the value should remain within the stable
measurement range as described in para. 4.5.
When this parameter value is entered, press “Enter”;
“Minimum distance meas-
ured”
(next line on panel) will be calculated automatically – this is the left (near)
boundary of echo signal search area (N0 is spectral ratio number, from which level
transmitter starts identification of valid signal).
“Maximum distance displayed”
is the upper limit of device operation range. It is
generally selected equal to the level transmitter installation height. It allows elimi-
nation of effects of vessel bottom echo occurring under certain circumstances.
When this value is entered, press “Enter”; right dead zone boundary will be calcu-
lated (Nmax is spectral ratio number, up to which (inclusive) device will search and
analyze signal). Upon the Nmax calculation completion, final maximum displayed
distance value in millimeters will be displayed in the field.
“Current output (4..20mA) setup”
– this parameter configures level transmitter 4-
20mA output.
