COMM Address
The Communication screen allows the user to set the instrument’s
COMM address. When the SOLAIR is connected to a data collection
system or daisy chained to other RS485 instruments, the instrument’s
COMM address is used to identify it.
LMS XChange or LMS Express/RT will search for the instrument by
the COMM Address specified on the Communication screen shown
below. COMM addresses range from 1 to 63.
For RS485 communications, each device on a multi-port chain must
have a unique address. See Figure 6-57.

Set the COMM Address by using the numeric keypad to select the
address; press ERASE to erase a number, if needed. Press ENTER to
accept the value. Press BACK to return to the Configuration screen or
press MAIN to return to the MAIN screen.
