PARTICLE Display
Data on the instrument can be displayed in
Differential
(DIFF) or
Cumulative
(CUML) counts.
For example, the cumulative count for the 1
m channel is the sum of
that channel’s count + 2.5
m count + the 5
m count.
The differential count for the 1
m channel is the number of particles
between 1
m and 2.5
m.
The data displays on the MAIN screen according to whichever is
selected (DIFF or CUML).
The data format is either Raw (RAW) or Normalized (NORM).
Raw
data displays the actual number of particles counted.
Normalized
data
shows particle concentrations calculated from the raw data based on the
settings chosen (ft
3
or m
3
).
Volume of Air = Sample time (minutes) x FlowRate (CFM)
Normalized Data = Number of Particles/Volume of Air
Press BACK to return to the Configuration screen or press MAIN to
return to the MAIN screen.
ALARM
The user can enable alarming on specific channels as illustrated in
Figure 4-19.
