DESCRIPTIONS:
IGNITE
This zone teaches your body to burn fat as a fuel source and encourages your body to produce
more mitochondria, the power stations of your body.
HEAT
This zone begins to work on improving aerobic/anaerobic threshold and stimulates the body
to increase the amount of energy it can store in the form of glycogen, this energy source starts
to overtake fat as the primary fuel source.
ON FIRE
Training in this zone works to improve all physiological aspects related to increasing cardiac
output – how much and how quickly the heart can pump blood to where it is needed in the
working muscles.
BURN
MHR Training in this zone is based on very limited time periods due to the rapid onset of
fatigue and develops musculoskeletal structures to manage the level of effort.
