How To...REMOVE AND REPLACE THE SEAT/LIFEPULSE GRIP ASSEMBLY
Tools required : Socket/Rachet set, Standard screwdriver, Hex key set & T10 Torx key
Step 1
Remove the user-right side SHROUD. (see How to...)
Step 2
With a standard screwdriver, carefully remove the two SCREWS securing the
EXTRUSION END CAP to the SEAT GUIDE EXTRUSION.
Step 3
Using a hex key set, remove the two top SEAT
STOP SCREWS located at the front of the SEAT
ASSEMBLY.
Step 4
Pull the seat plunger and slowly slide the SEAT ASSEMBLY back until the first set
of SEAT ROLLERS are off the edge of the EXTRUSION. Remove the SEAT
STOP and set it aside.
WARNING!: DO NOT LET MORE THAN ONE OF THE THREE SETS OF ROLLERS SIT OFF
THE EDGE OF THE EXTRUSION TO AVOID BREAKING FLAT FLEX CABLE.
Step 5
Remove the two TORX SCREWS holding the retainer bracket for the
flat FLEX CABLE.
Step 6
Disconnect the 4-PIN, FLAT FLEX-CABLE CONNECTOR located
beneath the SEAT-GUIDE EXTRUSION. Unhook the cable from the
stress relief clamp. Remove the GROMMET from the underside of the
SEAT-GUIDE EXTRUSION at the FLAT FLEX-CABLE. Carefully pull
the cable from the top of the SEAT-GUIDE EXTRUSION through the
hole on the bottom of the SEAT-GUIDE EXTRUSION and out of the
top.
Step 7
Remove the SEAT ASSEMBLY by carefully pulling it off the end of the
SEAT-GUIDE EXTRUSION.
To remove the SEATPAD and HANDLEBAR assembly .
Step 8
Turn the SEAT ASSEMBLY bottom side up. Remove the four SEATPAD
BOLTS securing the SEAT to the SEAT FRAME.
Step 9
Remove the four NUTS securing the LIFEPULSE GRIP ASSEMBLY to
the SEAT FRAME.
Step 10
Reverse steps1 thru 9 to return all parts to their original positions.
