• Press twice to lock the key and type a series of numbers and characters. The
cursor changes when you lock the function key.
• To unlock, press the function key once again.
Press and hold vowels, or the C, N, or S keys, to open a pop-up window where you
can touch other variations for the letter (e.g., accents, tilda, etc.).
5. Press these keys to perform other actions:
Search Key
• Instead of pressing the SEARCH button, press the search key to open the search
box and then type what you want to search. Press the Enter key to begin the
search.
6. Use the navigation key to the right of the slideout keyboard to move the cursor.
Touchscreen Keyboards
The touchscreen keyboards let you enter text directly onscreen without opening the phone.
By default, there are 4 types of touchscreen keyboards:
QWERTY keyboard
,
Phone keyboard
,
Handwriting
, and
Shape writer
.
To change the keyboard:
1. On any touchscreen keyboard, touch and hold the Settings key
.
2. Tap Input language & type >
.
3. Tap the desired keyboard and tap
repeatedly to go back to the entry screen.
