Connecting to an audio
system
Use an optional external audio system instead of
the built-in speaker.

If you use an external audio device instead
of the built-in speaker, set the TV speaker
feature to off (See p.54).
Digital optical audio connection
Transmits the digital audio signal from the TV to
an external device. Connect the external device
and the TV with the optical audio cable as shown
on the following illustration

Headphone connection
Transmits the headphone signal from the TV to
an external device. Connect the external device
and the TV with the headphone as shown on the
following illustration.
Connecting to a USB
Connect a USB storage device such as s USB
flash memory, external hard drive, MP3 player or
a USB memory card reader to the TV and access
the USB menu to use various multimedia files.
