Earpiece
Home Key
•
Returns to the Home screen from any screen.

Power/Lock Key
•
Press and hold to power on and off, restart, enable or
disable Airplane mode, and change the ringer type.

Turns your screen on and off and locks it.
Proximity Sensor
•
Senses proximity toward other objects, such as your head
during a call, so that you do not accidentally activate
unwanted features.

Displays available options for the current screen or application.
NOTE: Proximity sensor
When receiving and making calls, the proximity sensor automatically turns the backlight off and
locks the touch screen by sensing when the phone is near your ear. This extends battery life and
prevents you from unintentionally activating the touch screen during calls.
WARNING
Placing a heavy object on the phone or sitting on it can damage its LCD and touch screen
functionalities. Do not cover the LCD’s proximity sensor with a protective film. This can cause the
sensor to malfunction.
