Ability to locate stolen vehicles and lock/unlock doors and activate horn/lights
will vary with conditions. Lexus Link is unable to remotely lock doors when the
vehicle’s key is in the ignition and is unable to remotely unlock doors when the
vehicle’s ignition is in the "ON" position.
5.2d – Personal Calling Limitations
Personal Calling and Advanced Services require a Personal Calling-enabled
vehicle, existing Lexus Link service contract, and prepaid calling minutes.
Personal Calling and Advanced Services not available in Alaska and some other
markets. Calls may be made in the U.S. and Canada only. The Lexus Link voice
recognition system may not work with some voices.
Any unused time from the first year of service included in the price of a Lexus
Link-equipped vehicle is not transferable. When you sell your current vehicle, you
may transfer any remaining customer-paid months of service to your new Lexus
Link-equipped vehicle. Personal Calling minutes are not transferable.

5.3 Information about your Lexus Link system hardware
5.3a – Effect of Extreme Temperatures
In rare conditions the Lexus Link system may be exposed to extreme tempera-
tures. If extreme temperatures are experienced during an emergency situation,
the system will attempt a full power call for the prescribed period of time. During
these times, the phone may not be capable of transmitting at full power when
used for Lexus Link Personal Calling. Additionally, call quality may be slightly
degraded at extreme hot or cold temperatures above 60 degrees Celsius (140
degrees Fahrenheit) or below -30 degrees Celsius (-22 degrees Fahrenheit)
5.3b – An Accident Could Cause Damage To Your Lexus Link System
If your vehicle is in an accident, some components could be damaged or
disconnected, potentially rendering Lexus Link inoperative.
5.3c – Do Not Add Electrical Equipment to your Lexus Link System
The Lexus Link system is integrated into the electrical architecture of the vehicle.
Do not add any electrical equipment (e.g., two-way mobile radio, CB radio, etc.)
to your vehicle unless you check with your dealer first. Added electrical equip-
ment may interfere with the operation of the Lexus Link system. Any damage
would not be covered by your warranty.
5.3d – Caution for Persons with Pacemakers
Persons who use a medical appliance like a pacemaker should not touch or come
in close contact with the antenna while the vehicle ignition is on. Otherwise, the
cellular signals may produce improper operation of a medical appliance.
