Radius Configuration, Port Authentication
Radius Configuration
Radius Status:
1.
Command Mode: Configure mode
Logon to Configure Mode (Configure Terminal Mode).
The
switch_a(config)#
prompt will show on the screen.
switch_a(config)#

Usage:
Use
dot1x system-auth-ctrl
command to globally enable authentication.
Use
no dot1x system-auth-ctrl
command to globally disable authentication.

Command Syntax:
(no) dot1x system-auth-ctrl

Example:
The following example globally enables authentication:
switch_a(config)#dot1x system-auth-ctrl
switch_a(config)#
Radius Server IP:
Radius Server Port:

Usage:
Use this command to specify the IP address of the remote radius server host and assign
authentication and accounting destination port number.

Command Syntax:
(no) radius-server host IP-ADDRESS auth-port PORT
IP-ADDRESS A.B.C.D specifies the IP address of the radius server host.
PORT specifies the UDP destination port for authentication requests. The host is not used
for authentication if set to 0.

Example:
The following example specifies the IP address (
192.168.1.100
) of the remote radius
server host and assigns authentication and accounting destination port number (
1812
):
switch_a(config)#radius-server host 192.168.1.100 auth-port 1812
