Activate 

– This button will activate synchronization between

instruments as configured in the Multi-Instrument Synchronization
Panel. If you pressed this button without first configuring master and
slave units, the error message as shown in Figure 3-12 will be shown.
The Activate button must be pressed after you change waveforms,
phase offset, operation modes etc. You do not need to press this
button if you change sample clock, amplitude and offset or other
parameters that do not force waveform modification
